The capital city of Croatia in the heart of the continental part of Croatia
The hometown of many worlwide-known Croatians such as Janica Kostelić (skier), Krešimir Ćosić (basketball player), Ivan Đikić (scientist) or Vatroslav Lisinski (composer) represents a mixture of many cultures which met in the long history of the city (Austrian, Hungarian, Turkish, Yugoslavian etc.) with it's unique history from the 11th century.
In Zagreb you can explore a wide range of museums or try many culinary specialties. The city is located under the mountain Medvednica where you can take a walk or ski over the winter. Many parks in the city centre give a special feeling of the city where you can have a break on the lawn or have a drink in many small pleasant and chic bars.
The architecture of the is a mixture from the medieval architecture to the modern way of living with amiable and open-hearted local people and a lot of young students.
Feel the nice summer breeze and the city-heartbeat while walking through the center of the town with many small music, film and culinary festivals and a lot of street performers.
